Could not get any cuter than this !!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii !!!

This is my latest way to greet everyone I know. I have used it in the written print many times but the vocalization is new to me and hence more special. So this is a special Hi to all of you. It's unbelievable that another year is qucikly drawing to a close. Its almost time to say "B-Bye 2006 and Welcome 2007". I will keep you posted on how we welcomed 2007.

So what else is new? My mom says that I am getting cuter by the day and yet she says "He cannot get any cuter than this !" I wonder which of the two statements are true. If I get cuter everyday, then I will be even cuter tomorrow and yet she says I cannot get any cuter. Women !!! No wonder Papa says that women are hard to understand. They certainly don't make much sense and this comes from a baby ( universal shield for now) . Mom, stop confusing me and make up your mind.

Here are some snap shots if any one would dare to question what my mom says or even agree with her if you like.
As for me:

Cute, cuter, cutest.........
No matter what you say......
As long as I get a compliment....
Happy is my day !!!

Kela le lo, Angoor le lo, bahut meeta hai bibiji ! Sirf 200 Rs. Kilo !!

Ek pineapple de do behenji, bahut badiya hai. 20 Rs. kam de do !

Yeh to sirf sample hai. Maal kal internet delivery se aayega !! Smile, smile !

Oh ! Oh ! Paise lene se pehele batana tha..... sorry baba .... too late . Ab to delivery comfirm ho gaye hai.

Yeh , sara mal bik gaya. Lots of money for some Christmas shopping !!

Ab thoda Aaraam ..... bahut kaam ho gaya aaj ke leye !!

Yeh mera business look hai. Nice hai na !!

Mummy hato na.... Dekhne do ki yeh fruit kaisa hai !

1,2,3 Check ...... pineapple andar sab theek hai na !

Mummy, yeh already bik gaya hai. Sorry nahin milega ! Akhir ethics bhi to koi cheez hai.

Pyar ki bribe nahin chalege. Hato !

Wahan se daal nahin gali to yahan se koshish .....

Mummy, Papa ko bhi nahin doonga although I do appear to be handing him something. Yeh sab media ka trick hai. Maine pineapple nahin diya !

Uff..... thak gaya main. Enough for now. Moooooooooooommy !!

Talk to you later......

Walking a tight rope

Hey there,

I'm aquiring new skill sets with each new day. Here is a demonstraion of my newest skill : cruising. No. No. There is no need to be shocked. I have not learned to drive a car and that too in cruise control, although I'm working on it. Just Kidding !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm taking about baby cruising: walking with just a bit of support. Here is the scoop straight from the horse's mouth. Ever stop to think how it feels if you have learnt something new. We're on cloud nine but alongside there is the fear factor too. Thats what I want to address.

Whoever said walking was a piece of cake. Ask me. Pakad, pakad ke thak jata hoon, aur phir bhi gir jata hoon. Not fun, seriously. You could equate this experience to walking on a tight rope suspended 10 feet above the ground, like the madaris do in India. And of course, there is all the janta around you, to appluad if you succeed and consolation for me, if I don't succeed as I do make quite a scene if I don't. Anyway here are some highlights and no, you cannot catch me crying here. I'm as cool as a cucumber for this photo shoot.

Does my pose strike a cord with you ? Here is a hint : Spiderman !

An idle spiderman has a moment to smile for the camera before taking the next step.

You see a bit of foot faulting here but its not too obvious. I do regain my composure in the next shot. Check it out !!

Nice and calm while I plan the execution of my next step.

Here I go and you can see me in action. Here is my secret: first I find a strong anchor to hold me just in case and once I have it its simple, side step once, side step again and again.

Sucessful execution. Yaaaaaaaaaay !!! The sweet smell of success makes me sooooooooo happy as you can see.

Hope you enjoyed this. Till next time be cool !

Holiday Party 2006

Hello There,

Happy Holidays everyone. On December 8th Dad's company held a holiday party for all its employees and their families. I was so happy to get the invitation. I truly believe that no party invitations should be turned down. After all you can never have too much fun.

Anyway, back to the party. I had a great time and I am not going to be a grouch by complaining about the long lines because of which I missed seeing Santa at the party. I guess I will have to meet him in the mall now. Nevertheless I had a great time and here is a sneak peak at the highlights of the party.

This is my new found friend : Gingerbread man with a Candy Cane. Oh O ! Mom cut off his head in this picture. I'm just glad that my head wasn't cut off too.

See this Carousel behind me and Papa. I was so excited to try this ride but we ran out of time before I could get to the ride.

And this is the toy train that I took a ride in. Look at all the holiday colors !

And that is the indoor shot of us taking the train ride. Mom, Dad and I had a whole coach just for us. Talk about feeling special !

This is Mr. Snowman. He stood in the line for the train forever but never got a turn. I wonder if it had to do with his height. But he was good company for everyone waiting in the line.

Another shot of Mommy and Me enjoying the train ride. Btw Papa is the one taking the pictures. Thanks for the coverage Papa.

And this was the Grand Finale. A family photo just before we left the party. Nice na.

We met quite a few people that Papa works with on a daily basis and it was good to put faces to the names that we hear on all the conference calls Papa does from home. I heard the food was nice too but I was too busy socializing to be concerend about the food.

We also stood in line for a caricature. Although the experience was great I can't say the same about the Caricature. But it was a fun thing to do anyway.

The music was great and the baby crowd was fantastic. All of them were well dressed in their best holiday clothes and I heard very little crying. I must say I was impressed with the performance of my peers. Lets all keep up the good work and Happy Holidays again.

Celebrating the holiday spirit,

Happy Halloween

Hello There Everyone,

Oh!! I have missed you all. If you read my last post, it explains how busy I have been doing just a little bit of everything. So much has changed since the last time that it will take me a while to catch up with everything. While I do the running around bit, wish you all a Happy Halloween.

I'm not sure if you know about Halloween. Let me explain. I was so excited. Mom and Dad decided to dress me up as a pumpkin. Its not a sacry dress per se but defintely a customary one. Any way, I create my own rules and I decided that it was more important to have a good hairdo than wear a funny hat. So half my outfit is missing here. But its the spirit that counts, isn't it. And I did have a lot of spirit ( Boooooo..............) for Halloween.

Here are some pictures of me/ pumpkin doing some masti.

This is the candy I collected when I went for Trick or Treating. Not a whole lot, I know, but its enough for me.

Just making some phone calls to make sure all the kids came to my house for Trick or Treat'n.

Just having a nice time sifting through the candy.

You can see my pumpkin hat on the left hand side. Oh Haloween is so much fun !

You saw the treat part of Halloween. Here is a trick for you. Now you see me.

Peek A Boo.................. gotcha !

Happy Halloween again and have fun till next time.

A Little Bit of Life

A little bit of love,
A little bit of care.
A little bit of hope
And a bit of despair.

A little bit of up
and a little bit down
A little bit of serious,
And a bit of clown.

A little bit of sunshine
and a bit of gray
A little bit of work
And a bit of play.

A little bit of safe
And a bit of danger.
A little but of happiness
And just a bit of anger.

A little bit of you
And a little of me.
Life is that simple,
As simple it could be.

So just a bit of this,
And a little of that.
This is what life is,
And that's that.

Bahiya Moore .........

August 09, 2006.

Huraaay....... Rahki Hai................... Somehow no hulla gulla today and the day was very quiet. Quite unlike the other festivals I have seen so far. I remember Diwali was so much fun and Holi too. Wonder why Rakhi is so mellow. Anyway I am excited and will celebrate with full zest.

I have four older sisters. Oh great .. ...... this is such a great time to introduce them to all of you. My dad is so green with envy as he has two sisters and he gets only 2 rakhi' s every year. I on the other hand get 4 rakhi's each year. Looks like I am indeed special. I totally enjoy being the center of attention and with four cousins to dote on me....... it is quite a bit of attention.

I don't have latest snaps for all my cousins so I'll make do with with I have. This is my oldest cousin sis, Kanika Didi. I have never met her but she is real cool. She sends me all the latest Hindi songs and I love to dance to all of them. She sent me a purple Rakhi and asked me to wear it. I did wear it Didi.

Hi Kanika Di !!

Next is Ritika Didi. She is a big Sonu Nigam fan and sent me a CD of his songs. The songs are really nice too. We hear them when we are driving in the car. Thank you Ritika Didi , both for the CD and the Rakhi you sent for me.
Ritika Didi is the one in the brown jacket and the baby in blue is not me.

And then its Suchi Didi. I get confused who is older between Ritika and Suchi Didi. They look alike to me. Anyway I have learnt that its not cool to ask women their age so I dare not. Thank you Suchi Didi for the Rakhi and I assure you I did wear it.

This is Suchi didi and the baby in blue is still not me.

And ofcourse their is Vaishu Didi. Sometimes I wonder if I should be calling her Didi at all. She is the one in the blue dress in this photo. To me, she seems to be the same size as me. I think I can definitely play and have a fun time with her.

Finally the baby in blue is my sister Vaishu Didi.

Now you know all my sisters. So lets get to Rakhi and prove that I did wear all the Rahhi's they sent me. Here we go.

And here I am the Bhaiya Moore.... in the Rakhi song. I wonder why the Bhaiya's name is 'Moore' in this song. My name is Arnav.

And did I tell you how excited I was. You can see me bursting with energy here..

See me striking a handsome pose here. Nani sent me this adorable dhoti kurta. Aacha hai na...

And I wanted to show you all my little toe that I found recently. I can move it all around. I know I know this has nothing to do with Rakhi but I just wanted to show you what I found.

And here Mummy is tying Rakhi's for me on behalf of my sisters. Didi's she did a good job of making me wear all four.

Proof : I wore all the Rakhi's my Didi's sent me. Two on each hand.

Daddy... I told you....don't touch my Rakhi's. Chalo hato.....

Bas...rakhi time is over. Utaro bahi.... I'm all done with these Rakhi's.

I think I'll have to take them off myself. One down ...... three more to go.

Happy again. I took out all the rakhi's faster than Mummy was able to put them on for me.
I WIN.

More from me ..... soon.

Love,

Bahiya Arnav.
