Happy Halloween

Hello There Everyone,

Oh!! I have missed you all. If you read my last post, it explains how busy I have been doing just a little bit of everything. So much has changed since the last time that it will take me a while to catch up with everything. While I do the running around bit, wish you all a Happy Halloween.

I'm not sure if you know about Halloween. Let me explain. I was so excited. Mom and Dad decided to dress me up as a pumpkin. Its not a sacry dress per se but defintely a customary one. Any way, I create my own rules and I decided that it was more important to have a good hairdo than wear a funny hat. So half my outfit is missing here. But its the spirit that counts, isn't it. And I did have a lot of spirit ( Boooooo..............) for Halloween.

Here are some pictures of me/ pumpkin doing some masti.

This is the candy I collected when I went for Trick or Treating. Not a whole lot, I know, but its enough for me.

Just making some phone calls to make sure all the kids came to my house for Trick or Treat'n.

Just having a nice time sifting through the candy.

You can see my pumpkin hat on the left hand side. Oh Haloween is so much fun !

You saw the treat part of Halloween. Here is a trick for you. Now you see me.

Peek A Boo.................. gotcha !

Happy Halloween again and have fun till next time.

A Little Bit of Life

A little bit of love,
A little bit of care.
A little bit of hope
And a bit of despair.

A little bit of up
and a little bit down
A little bit of serious,
And a bit of clown.

A little bit of sunshine
and a bit of gray
A little bit of work
And a bit of play.

A little bit of safe
And a bit of danger.
A little but of happiness
And just a bit of anger.

A little bit of you
And a little of me.
Life is that simple,
As simple it could be.

So just a bit of this,
And a little of that.
This is what life is,
And that's that.

Bahiya Moore .........

August 09, 2006.

Huraaay....... Rahki Hai................... Somehow no hulla gulla today and the day was very quiet. Quite unlike the other festivals I have seen so far. I remember Diwali was so much fun and Holi too. Wonder why Rakhi is so mellow. Anyway I am excited and will celebrate with full zest.

I have four older sisters. Oh great .. ...... this is such a great time to introduce them to all of you. My dad is so green with envy as he has two sisters and he gets only 2 rakhi' s every year. I on the other hand get 4 rakhi's each year. Looks like I am indeed special. I totally enjoy being the center of attention and with four cousins to dote on me....... it is quite a bit of attention.

I don't have latest snaps for all my cousins so I'll make do with with I have. This is my oldest cousin sis, Kanika Didi. I have never met her but she is real cool. She sends me all the latest Hindi songs and I love to dance to all of them. She sent me a purple Rakhi and asked me to wear it. I did wear it Didi.

Hi Kanika Di !!

Next is Ritika Didi. She is a big Sonu Nigam fan and sent me a CD of his songs. The songs are really nice too. We hear them when we are driving in the car. Thank you Ritika Didi , both for the CD and the Rakhi you sent for me.
Ritika Didi is the one in the brown jacket and the baby in blue is not me.

And then its Suchi Didi. I get confused who is older between Ritika and Suchi Didi. They look alike to me. Anyway I have learnt that its not cool to ask women their age so I dare not. Thank you Suchi Didi for the Rakhi and I assure you I did wear it.

This is Suchi didi and the baby in blue is still not me.

And ofcourse their is Vaishu Didi. Sometimes I wonder if I should be calling her Didi at all. She is the one in the blue dress in this photo. To me, she seems to be the same size as me. I think I can definitely play and have a fun time with her.

Finally the baby in blue is my sister Vaishu Didi.

Now you know all my sisters. So lets get to Rakhi and prove that I did wear all the Rahhi's they sent me. Here we go.

And here I am the Bhaiya Moore.... in the Rakhi song. I wonder why the Bhaiya's name is 'Moore' in this song. My name is Arnav.

And did I tell you how excited I was. You can see me bursting with energy here..

See me striking a handsome pose here. Nani sent me this adorable dhoti kurta. Aacha hai na...

And I wanted to show you all my little toe that I found recently. I can move it all around. I know I know this has nothing to do with Rakhi but I just wanted to show you what I found.

And here Mummy is tying Rakhi's for me on behalf of my sisters. Didi's she did a good job of making me wear all four.

Proof : I wore all the Rakhi's my Didi's sent me. Two on each hand.

Daddy... I told you....don't touch my Rakhi's. Chalo hato.....

Bas...rakhi time is over. Utaro bahi.... I'm all done with these Rakhi's.

I think I'll have to take them off myself. One down ...... three more to go.

Happy again. I took out all the rakhi's faster than Mummy was able to put them on for me.
I WIN.

More from me ..... soon.

Love,

Bahiya Arnav.

Moving up in rank.

Hello Everyone,

How is everyone doing ? I am doing quite alright. I'm almost 15 months old and a lot has changed since I turned One. I'm graduating to higher ranks. Good job for me. 'CLAP' 'CLAP' 'CLAP'

You might be thinking, what ranks is he talking about? Let me clarify. As I have mentioned time and again I am a big boy now. So I am getting to do some of the things big boys get to do.

I finally have my own corner in Mom and Dads room. I mean my crib was always there but now I can use the adjacent wall for expressing myself and here is how I've set it up. Dreamy isn't it. It helps me to fall asleep easily and if I have trouble falling asleep I can literally count the stars. Neat, hai na.

I even got the pictures and figures in colors matching my bed set. Fancy, isn't it ?

This is my cricle of friends. I'm not quite sure if you can see but I have my giraffe, chimpanzee, teddy, rabbit, daddy and baby elephant and a doggie, all on the same wall. And look at all those stars...... I just love them.

And there is some writing there too. Not my idea, it was mom. I can't read yet so thats no good to me. I can't tell you what is says so please read for your self. And if you need help, ask MOM.

What else. Hoooooooray. I have my own car now. Last time I told you Dad was giving me driving lessons. Guess what, I have a convertible now and that too a RED one. What more can a guy ask for.

And my car is truly a car of the future. No gas crisis for me. It runs on man/woman power or should I say mom/dad power. I'm a little concerned about the low speed limits my parents have set but I'll find a way around that too. And more all my favourite songs are already pre fed into the cars music system. I have " The wheels on the car go round and round" and "Do you know the muffin man". Both are my favourite songs. I even have a weather button built in. I just checked a little while ago and it said today it will be sunny. The sun is shining bright so it is accurate. I Loooooooove my car.

Thats me, riding my convertible. Anybody need a ride ?

I think I am lost. Need some directions, Mom. How do I get to the coffee table, aage ( foward) or peeche ( back) ?

This is the efficiency I was talking about. I have woman power ( not horse power like the other outdated 20th century cars.)

I even have manpower along with woman power for my car. I wonder why they ever decided to use horses for pushing cars ?? No need for gasoline either.

Everyone is happy. Papa is happy pushing my car. I am happy riding my car.

Truly enjoying my car ride. Anyone care to join me for a ride. It's free !!!!

I even have a musical chair for myself. It has a clock, my very own personal lamp and music too. It even has a book to read. So cool and so comfi too. Check me out relaxing in this chair.

Just relaxing in my chair.

See this is how you wind a clock to make it work.

YAY .... I got the clock to work. Good job for me.

I even got my bumble bee balloon in the picture. See how big it is. I like to play with it.

I'm up to some other things too but you'll have to wait a little bit...... just till next time.
Happy guessing what I am up to till then.

More beach mystery

Just wanted to tell you a little more about our trip to Half Moon Bay.

Well the trip was not that bad after all. I had a fun time. We went to this Thai resturant for dinner and I liked the decor. Cool looking golden colored toys but Mom just won't let me touch them. I liked the people there. They all smiled at me and said what a cutie I am. That I am and unlike the confusion before this is a well established fact.

We slept late into the morning and by the time we left the hotel we were late even for the late checkout. Anyway then we went to an Italian resturant and I liked that too. No cool toys here but the salt shaker was great. Rolled great on the table and worked well too. I did check by giving it a good shake. You should see the size of the pepper shaker. HUGE. I would have loved to play wiht it but the guy just took it away, so fast. I never even got a good look at it.

Anyway after lunch we went to the beach. Once we got there Mom kept saying this is the sea. I can't talk much but I am sure my puzzled expressions told her that I had no clue what she was talking about. Then she said its the ocean. Ok I am quite confused by now. And then where is the beach, may I ask.

I know all of you may be confused too. So I'll explain whatever little I can and then you are on your own. If you still don't follow, call my parents at (na-na-na)-na-na-na-na-na-na-na. I gave you all the 10 digits. I hope you got them. I know I don't say all the numbers correctly thats why I wrote them down for you. Good thinking hain na.

Here I go.

Observation:
1. There was a lot of water just like in my bath tub.
2. It kept splashing back and forth like I do when I play with in my bathtub.
Conclusion: It was a gaint bathtub. Not a C.

Observation:
1. Lots of dirt.
2. Lots of kids playing in the dirt and older people sitting too.
Conclusion: It was just like part of our backyard. Where is the beach?

Observation:
1. I never saw the moon. Sorry too sleepy to stay up.
2. Can't say if it was half or not.
3. We found the orange ball again but it's in the sky now and not in the water.
Conclusion: Never found the moon, but I am better than the guy who keeps losing his ornage ball.
See if you can make some sense with the pictures.

Thats Papa and me. I got to sit on the sheet. We're looking at what I call the giant bathtub.

Can you see it in the background. Giant bathtub, hain na.

Mom in the sand pit. I wish she would let me sit in the sand.

Hmmm......the sand smells great. I snuk my hand in when no one was looking at me.

Just chilling at the beach.

Thats all the splashing I was talking about.

Mom and I are enjoying the nice breeze. See I got my toes in the dirt too. Clever na.

We're cold yet happy to be at the here.

Its nice and cool with the hat on.

Sea, see, c, ????????????

This was totally unplanned. And it came as a complete surprise to me. On Friday June 16th, my parents decided that we need to take a short break from routine. And they came up with the idea to go for a night out to Half Moon Bay. Half what ?????????

See thats what I call totally 20th century parents. No notice what so ever. Do they expect me to drop everything and go along with them. Not Cool at all. And what is this Half Moon Bay ? Talk about confusing a baby. And what are we going to do there ? With no time to research the place or the attractions I'm pretty sure we are not going to do much.

Since I will not have much to say, here is a silent tour of our trip to 1/2 moon bay ..............

This is me in my new car seat. Plush isn't it. And its higher too. I can see all the cars and truck whiz by as we drive down the freeway.

Look who is on the steering wheel now. Daddy is giving me my very first driving lessons !!

Indian Ishtyle.........Beep beep..........hato bhai......Arnav di gaddi ayi......

I saw this big bright orange ball just dissappear into thin air. I don't know what my parents kept saying " What a beautiful sunset !" Sun what ??? Didn't they say something about a half moon before !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proof.. My dad is not helping me. Its all me checking the blind spot in the mirror. Lane change karne hai.

Just checking if I can fit my arms through the hole in the steering wheel. They do fit and I can touch my toes too.

It was freezing cold. And we weren't adequately dressed. Had I mentioned anything about NO PLANNING before.

And there is the orange ball again. Or may be we took this picture before it dissappeared. See without reseaarch I am as clueless as my parents.

If I ever find out who stole that ball I'll let you know. In the mean while I'm hunting for that half moon.

PS: Did I mention that my parents kept talking about some c . What c ? I just don't get it .
